All four layers are bonded and sewn together, making one "Tuff Layer," several seams are stitched to hold the product together, and then a layer of nylon is added (and stitched over multiple times) to cover the assembly stitching. Squeakers are safe and quiet because they are sewn into a nylon safety pocket beneath four other layers of material.
