Duurstede Conditioner goes on alkaline, which is opposite in pH to most products! This opens the cuticle, allowing the emollients to penetrate to the cortex of the hair. Duurstede Conditioner then self-neutralizes to the coat's natural pH. This change in composition closes the cuticle, locking in the emollients.
