Rescue First Program
The Rescue First program awards qualified organizations 5% of every purchase generated by a link supplied by them. In addition, you as a customer can also use your shopping power to benefit a rescue. If you did not follow a link to our website from an approved organization, you can simply write us a note in the comments section when you are checking out telling us to give your organization credit. In addition, you can choose to make a donation to the organization right here on our site. Unfortunately, you will not be eligible for any tax write off benefits when choosing to donate through our site (nor will we). Sales on our site that do not have a designated rescue assigned to it still generate money for rescue. The 5% is applied to our General Rescue Fund. That money is distributed to rescues that our employees designate as beneficiaries.
Rescues and shelters from all over the United States are eligible for the program. In order for the organization to earn commissions and donations, they must go through a simple vetting process. If you are interested in applying to be a member of the Rescue First family, please follow the link below Join Rescue First. After completing those steps, email your logo, your website domain name and a copy of your 501(c)3 status letter from the I.R.S. to firstname.lastname@example.org. Organizations are usually vetted within 4 business days. Commission payouts are made annually in February & you must have earned $25 to receive payment (your earnings will roll over if you don't hit $25). Donation payments are made within 7 business days of purchase. Rescues with a PayPal account will receive their payments more quickly. For more information, email email@example.com.
